Worship Schedule

The GLC Council has carefully reviewed the directives from the CDC, IDPH and Metro Chicago Synod and has made the following determinations:
  • Capacity for worship in the sanctuary will increase to 100 effective May 23.
  • Distancing will still be required.
  • We will no longer have sign-in registration.
  • We have always said we will trust the science, so we will follow the CDC guidance that allows
    • vaccinated people to opt out of wearing a mask
    • require masks for unvaccinated people (including children who can’t yet get vaccinated).
  • Those who are masked, vaccinated or not, are welcome to sing.

Obviously, these steps will bring joy and a sense of normalcy to some and to others, a sense of anxiety. Please be understanding of the people who are not where you are.

As we navigate what it means to open our doors and take down barriers, we are called to see that we are never acting for ourselves in Christian community.

Let us lead with love for one another, as Christ led with love for us.

Our space and our liturgies are what most would call traditional, but that word doesn’t express all of who we are.

You’ll find everyone from single people to families with children to older folks.

Communion is served at each service.

Come just as you are, wherever you are on your spiritual walk, then, refreshed, head back out into the heart of Geneva!
