Worship Assistants
Worship is the work of the whole congregation!
Altar Guild
GLC’s altar guild works behind the scenes to prepare Holy Communion each week and decorate the sanctuary for the seasons. Contact Jane Shiffler for more information.
Communion Assistants
Communion assistants serve Holy Communion at all services, participating in sharing tangible signs of God’s grace and love. Contact Julie Slifka for more information.
Acolytes
Students from 3rd grade through 8th grade are part of worship, too, lighting candles and assisting with worship in a variety of ways. Contact Julie Slifka for more information.
Readers/Cantors
Many voices show that worship is not the work of a single person. Many voices reading and chanting Scripture, praying, and helping with the liturgy allow us to hear God in new ways. Contact Julie Slifka for more information.
Greeters
Having a door open as people come to worship is the first sign of a generous life. Greeters welcome members and guests to worship services and answer questions for those new to GLC. Contact Julie Slifka for more information.
Ushers
The tasks of an usher are important: hand out bulletins, collect offerings, assist with communion, and also set the tone for people coming into the worship space. Contact Chris Diemand for more information.
Coffee Bar
What better way to make connections than over a cup of coffee and a treat? Each week people serve as hosts to keep the cups full! Contact Julie Slifka for more information.
