Human words are always going to be limited to describe things about God, including heaven. At the time the book of Revelation was written most of the people lived in a very utilitarian way. Only the very wealthiest people had anything but the most functional things. ‘Heaven will be very different!’ is the message of Revelation. Thinking too much about heaven can distract us from the glimpses of heaven we bring to each other and receive from one another right here, right now. So trust that God has good things in store…at the end of our lives AND right now! – Pastor Trudy Stoffel
