In our ELCA Lutheran tradition, the power in a congregation belongs to the congregation as a whole. All of the teams, the staff, and the council do the day to day and month to month work of the congregation, but when it comes to spending larger sums of money (more than $10,000), the congregation has to be enlisted. This makes sense because GLC is all of us working together…all of us attending worship, Bible study, Sunday school, confirmation, other fun things, etc; all of us giving to support the things that our church does for us and in our community; all of us sharing the good news of Jesus with those around us! – Pastor Trudy Stoffel
