We send 8% of our income to our synod (geographical subdivision of the ELCA)- they use it for supporting leaders and congregations AND to support organizations that extend our Christian call to care for others. LSSI (Lutheran Social Services of Illinois) is one of those organizations. We also give an additional 2% of our income to support local organizations that have a real impact in our community. And guess what…LSSI also has an impact in our local community. You’ll learn more about that and will be able to celebrate our collective gift to LSSI at all the services this weekend.
