At GLC we have Vacation Bible CAMP, not school. Our young adults and youth lead the whole thing… camp songs and games, fun snacks (graham crackers and frosting anyone?), Bible stories and crafts. It really does feel like camp. Additionally, we do some special things because we are in this incredible location… like the downtown scavenger hunt. We do it for many reasons… 1) it is our job to proclaim the Good news of Jesus using the gifts we have – gifts include our youth and young adults, our location, and our community. 2)The more contact points people have with our congregation, the more likely they are to think of us when they have a need connected to their faith. VBC is an important one! 4) as a counterbalance to a challenging world- even and maybe especially for our youth and young adults. 5) for the pure joy of it! Follow us on social media to see the fun unfolding… pray for all those involved and maybe set aside just a little bit of time outside. – Pastor Trudy Stoffel
