We are Easter People. Called to live with the hope that Easter brings. Called to radiate Easter joy into our world. Called to love one another. This joy comes from our faith. Death has been conquered. We have the gift of eternal life. God forgives our sins. It looked like all was lost when Jesus was crucified. Yet, on Easter morning the tomb was empty!
God’s Love wins! Which brings hope.
For people of faith, Easter is not over. Easter is not a day but a season (It lasts 50 days). Actually, at the heart of Christianity, Easter is a WAY of life. The story of what God is doing in and through Jesus isn’t over at the empty tomb. It’s only just getting started. Resurrection isn’t a conclusion, it’s an invitation, though a challenging one when all might feel hopeless. However, with God’s help, we are called to continue the story of God’s redemption of the world, rooted in the peace that only God can give.
