Serving Opportunities

St. Andrew Food Distribution

Geneva Lutheran serves at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in West Chicago supporting and assisting with weekly emergency food distributions. Volunteers from GLC gather each Friday morning at St. Andrew to unload, unpack, and sort non-perishables, assemble produce bags and break down dozens of boxes as preparation for the next day’s distribution. GLC will also occasionally supplement these distribution with donations of diapers, baby wipes and other personal hygiene items. GLC is grateful to partner with St. Andrew and other area churches and organizations to help sustain this timely and essential community outreach.  Contact Julie Slifka for more information.

Serves every Friday, 9 am-12pm

Nourish & Serve

Cook, bake, and serve! This ministry provides meals for those facing medical or other life challenges. In addition, GLC also hosts funeral luncheons that require salads, desserts, and helpers to serve in the kitchen. Would you like to be a part of this ministry? Please contact Julie Slifka for more information.
