I’m an adult and can’t go to camp.  Is there anything I could do on my own this week to feel part of the experience?

The essential thing for a great camp experience is to step outside your comfort zone. Here are some things the students do that are uncomfortable- give them a try!

-Go without your technology (they don’t have their electronics all week!)
-Try a food that you’ve never had before or that is prepared in a new way
-Do an activity that makes you a little scared
-Make a new friend
-do something different each hour
-observe 45 minutes of holy silence after lunch
-Swim in a lake
-make a bracelet
-eat a piece of candy, some ice cream, chips, and a Gatorade at 3:30 pm.

You may want to consult your doctor before doing that last one but you will feel really good for at least 45 minutes.  Don’t ask me how I know.  – Pastor Trudy Stoffel
