Our finance team has a master document, the budget that they work together to create each year. Staff and committees make recommendations and the Finance team calculates how much income we will need as compared to the previous year. Our philosophy is to determine the cost of ‘doing ministry’ and invite the congregation’s support. Our finance team and council monitor the finances each month and determine what and how to best inform the congregation throughout the year. When we come to the end of the year, we evaluate if we are invited to grow or to re-evaluate our current situation. The bottom line is, we are called to do ministry in this place.
