If Jesus is fully human, then certainly he sometimes makes mistakes. There is a scene in the Gospel of Mark (8: 22-26) where Jesus only partially heals the blind man. Don’t worry, he tries again and the man’s sight is fully restored. Maybe that’s not what you think of as a mistake. In Matthew 15: 21-28, a woman (not Jewish) asks for healing for her child and Jesus basically calls her a dog. Her persistence leads to a commendation of her faith and the healing of her child. This gives me hope that I don’t always have to get it right the first time. – Pastor Trudy Stoffel
