Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals
Baptisms, weddings, and funerals… It may feel strange to have these three things listed together; and yet they are all celebrations of what it means to live a life in the body of Christ. We are all connected by our need for God’s peace at times of transition— birth of a child, wedding, or as we say farewell.

Celebrations of Life
Baptisms
Baptism is an opportunity to celebrate God’s love and grace. Lutherans do baptize infants (and older children and adults), believing that it is God’s action and love pouring over us rather than our own efforts. You do not need to be a member to celebrate a baptism at Geneva Lutheran.
If you’re looking to have yourself or your child baptized at GLC, please plan on attending a baptism information class on the dates listed below. The class will take place immediately following the 10:30 a.m. worship that Sunday. To sign up for this class, email Michelle to begin the baptismal process at GLC.

Weddings
What a joy it is to celebrate with couples as they are joined in marriage! We consider this an important part of our ministry to the community, so couples do not need to be members to be married here. However, all weddings are conducted by our pastor. Contact Pastor Trudy for more information.
Funerals
As Christians, we trust the words of comfort in the Bible and in the service for Christian burial to comfort us at times of loss. Working with Pastor Trudy, families and friends will prepare a service that honors all of who someone is and was to us. You do not need to be a member for our congregation to walk with you in your time of need. Contact Pastor Trudy for more information.
