Chances are good that each of us has some kind of blindness. Sometimes we can’t see things because we aren’t ready to see them (like the disciples in the Gospels). Sometimes we have built walls or blinders that make it difficult for us to see things from the perspectives of others. Still other times we are kept from seeing because our way is blocked by another. For those who have lost or never had their sight, they learn to ‘see’ by other means. As we approach Holy Week, we are invited to turn on all of our senses to ‘see’ the light of the Good News unfolding before us, even if it may look like night. – Pastor Trudy Stoffel
