Adult and Family Groups
About Our Groups
We offer many small group opportunities for adults and families based on our three guiding principles: building relationships, growing in faith, and inspiring to serve.
Groups for Adults and Families
Drop-in for a great discussion inspired by the Bible and other religious texts. We meet every Thursday at 9:30 am via Zoom and offer other seasonal small groups and studies. Contact Pastor Trudy for more information.
Stuff You Missed In Sunday School
Come for a fun time of learning and laughing as we dig deeper into the scripture reading of the day. Middle school through adult—bring the whole family! There’s something everyone can learn in this class. Check the calendar for the current schedule. Contact Merla Billquist or Jane Perkolup for more information.
Social gathering for guys of all ages with monthly meetings at local watering holes or in the COVID times on Zoom. Contact Jeff Cameron for more information.
Lunch outings and events for people 60+ years old for continuing community. Meets the second Sunday of each month. Contact Cindy Yeo for more information.
We read and talk about both fiction and non-fiction books. Our book discussion group meets at the church on the third Monday of each month, September-May. All are welcome to participate. Contact Karen Bentson for more information.
The GLC Family Fellowship group holds events geared towards families with young children, but all are invited to participate. Some events, such as the Family Advent Fair, are held at the church, while others happen in the community. Events range from very informal playground meet-ups to more organized, ticketed events, like Chicago Steel hockey games. Our mission aligns with GLC’s mission to build faith and fellowship and to serve others. Events are advertised in the GLC Connects e-newsletter. Contact Christy Heins for more information.
