Our Parent’s Day Out (PDO) program provides a loving environment for children ages 2-4 to play, learn, and grow while providing parents three hours to use as they like!
PDO helps prepare your child for the transition into preschool and kindergarten. Our multi-age classrooms provide opportunities for children to share, take turns, cooperate with their peers, and become more responsible. We are not a drop-in program — when you sign up, your child’s spot is guaranteed through May.
Potty training is not required. Our staff specialize in helping children with separation anxiety feel more comfortable away from parents. Our PDO program is open to all in the community, regardless of church membership or attendance. At PDO we enjoy monthly Bible stories or songs with our Pastor as well as saying our prayer together before lunch.

Ali has spent her life in the Tri-Cities. She currently lives in Batavia with her husband, Cory, and three sons, Lucas, Cameron, and Elliot. She has been a member of Geneva Lutheran Church since 2023 and her boys all attended PDO when they were younger, which is how they first became familiar with GLC and all the wonderful programs.
Ali has a passion for working with children through her work as a middle school teacher, Director of Admissions for a PreK – 8th grade school, Marketing Manager for a children’s fitness center, and Preschool Teacher. She has also been a Sunday School teacher at Geneva Lutheran! Ali loves PDO and the impact it has on the community, and she loves connecting with families and teachers.
