Lent is a the time between Ash Wednesday and Easter when we devote a little more time and attention to our faith. Giving something up or even more giving up something in order to give more to those in need can be a meaningful practice during this season. Spending time together with others on the same journey can be uplifting and encouraging so we offer these community events:
Eating together: Soup Suppers- Wednesdays at 6 PM (February 21, 28, March 7, 14, 21)- Gather in the fellowship hall for warm, homemade soups, salads and desserts
Praying together: Holden Evening Prayer- Wednesdays at 7 PM (February 21, 28, March 7, 14, 21)- A 30 minute liturgy with members of the congregation sharing stories of change and growth.
Learning together: Beyond our Fears: From Death into Life- Thursdays at 7 PM (February 22, March 1, March 8, March 15, March 22)- For class descriptions click here: Lent Beyond Our Fears Poster
