The Great Three Days (Triduum)
Though each service has a distinct purpose, the services on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of Holy Week are considered one service. We leave without a benediction, we enter without a greeting. We go about our ordinary lives in between the services but everything feels unfinished. These services prepare us for those times in our lives when things feel unfinished- our Holy Weeks.
Maundy Thursday- 7:00 pm
At Jesus’ last supper with His disciples, He directs them to care for one another. This service renews and reminds the church of its commitment to service to all.
Good Friday- 7:00 pm
Our focus turns to the Passion narrative of Christ as told in the Gospel of John in a Service of Tenebrae (darkness and shadows). Music, light, and darkness serve to lift up the narrative.
Easter Vigil- 8:00 pm
We move from darkness to light; from the stories of faith in the Old Testament to the story of the resurrection. Be the first to welcome this Good News!
Easter Sunday- 9:00 am and 10:30 am
Celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ with us! We offer a family-friendly Pancake Breakfast from 8:00 am – 10:30 am. Proceeds benefit the youth group’s trip to Houston this summer for the ELCA Youth Gathering.$6/6th grade and older, $4/5th grade and younger.
